"A blind spot is an area in your range of vision that you cannot see properly but which you really should be able to see." Well doesn't this sound familiar?  Often times is our busy, over-worked and over exposed lives we tend not to see the main things that we should be grateful for. They are in our "range" of vision but we aren't seeing them properly. For example, my being the Mother of 2.5 year old and almost 4 month old little girls, I sometimes get caught up in the stress and nuances that come with balancing two tiny tots. The crying that seems endless, exaggerated whining and trying to find balance can become all that I see. Nonetheless, what is also in my range of vision is the fact that I am blessed with two beautiful, healthy and opinionated girls and I am fortunate to have a schedule that allows me to spend so much time with them, nurturing and influencing their young lives. The latter is often in my blind spot but if I pause, take a breather and look again, what was overlooked, even if only briefly, becomes very visible and it's beauty revealed.  I can think of similar oversights when it comes to our jobs, the degree that we decided to go back to school for while working full-time or the marriage that may seem to be contrary to what we expected. Even in challenging situations where we may feel stretched thin, if we switch our focus, we can see something different. I find that it is truly about taking that second look in an effort to view properly that which is in the blind spot, there is so much to be grateful for! Let's all be more intentional about focusing on our blessings, the grace upon us to manage our "assignments" and those elements that we really should be able to see. With love, Candace
