Good Morning People!
I hope that you are all well and making the best choices for yourself and loved ones.
So, I had a conversation with someone very dear to me this morning and the topic came up about the current state of our world being mentioned in the Bible. Specifically in the book of 2 Chronicles. My response was this: “Everything that ever comes upon us is in the Bible. We just have to pray & be diligent! This too shall pass! 💖
I try not to think about the "doom and gloom" of it all, you know? It will only make me paranoid.”
The fact of the matter is that, there is nothing new under the sun; disease, illness, loss, tragedy and much of the pain experienced in life; happens. However, we can choose not to be consumed by it, we can make the choice to keep our minds on positive things and take each day one at a time. There really is no use in exhausting all of our energy on “what if’s” and fear, if we do then when our emotional and mental resources are actually needed to face difficult times we will find that we are already exhausted. Exhausted solely due to fear and the script played in our minds.
Daily, I make the choice to be thankful for waking up and then writing down what I’m grateful for. I also check in to see what God’s word has for me. Here is what I found today: Trust in the Lord’s perfect provision, “You will seek and find me when you seek me with all of your heart”... so when we seek Him and follow what he says we can make the choice to believe his promises! I then went over to Proverbs and found “Keep sound wisdom and discretion (this gives life to your soul & grace), you won’t stumble nor be afraid”. Once again our instructions are in God’s word just as everything else is. So by keeping sound wisdom and using discretion we can make good choices, protect ourselves and rely on God to grace us; do our parts of course but it starts with trusting in him and believing the best!
I know that these are uncertain times and the media seems to be preying on our fears but hey, we all have a choice; fear it or walk in faith! I choose to employ wisdom, make healthy choices, sort out the rubbish from what’s actually helpful, prepare and have faith! This too shall pass.
I pray that our God covers you with peace and your families remain in good spirits and great health. Don’t allow the hysteria to cause you to stumble.
Love,
Candace
