Hey Family!

We greet the 11th day in 2021. How has it been for you so far?

I can imagine that it's been quite eventful for ya! And we are just 2 weeks in, whew!

Which brings me to this... with all that's going on in our cities, nation and in the world, what do you do to keep your head above water? What have you done lately to encourage yourself? Have you ever thought about writing a letter to yourself? Yes, to you!

We can hear much from many about ourselves and our place in this world (that they see) but it's truly is different when you speak to yourself from that outsider perspective, from that place of genuine friendship and acceptance.

At 4:14am today, I found myself sleepless and unable to get doze back off. So what did I do with this idle time? Write, of course! It went a little something like this:

Candace, see yourself as God sees you!

How do you really want to treat yourself? Is it with love, compassion, affirmation, belief, positivity, compliments, encouragement and gratitude for all that you are?

You are doing a great job at balancing all that you have on your plate but please make sure to check-in with yourself. Take time out for you girl, have that glass of Pinot Noir! Maybe even get a pedicure after work! Or better yet, during your lunch break. Ah ha! That sounds much better.

Darling, it is ok NOT to cook dinner once in a while, take-out is available for a reason. Use it! Do more of what you love; giving and getting warm hugs, kissing your girls, dancing & singing. You love everything from looking in their eyes to playing a game of "Hide & Seek". Music is your second love, you enjoy helping people and being a resource & you totally enjoy being apart of something greater than yourself! Do more of these things.

Celebrate, embrace your sense of fashion, decorate your home to your absolute pleasure, take a million pictures, write more, get some rest, talk on the phone and keep your loved ones close. Relish in the connections that you have with such a close group of amazing souls.

Do what fulfills you and makes you feel alive, warm, light and free! Please trust yourself, trust your life's path, trust in divine timing and most importantly trust the almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth! Challenge yourself but don't beat yourself up; be patient, kind and gentle with yourself, be compassionate!

Love on you!! You are a great girl and an exemplary woman! Though you may share similarities with others, you are you and you alone! Remember that!

Lastly, forgive yourself babe. Some choices and decisions made were the best for you considering the time, knowledge and space at the moment. Focus on all that you do have, seek first the Kingdom and all else will be added to you.
